Murray Robinson
We welcome saxophonist Murray Robinson, one of our new regular guest soloists. Still studying at Leeds Conservatoire, Murry’s musical interests include Japanese jazz culture, iconic video game soundtracks and leading a 12 piece band playing original arrangements that blend jazz, funk and fusion. His own playing is inspired by current saxophone giants such as Joel Frahm, Eric Alexander and Patrick Bartley. Check them out.
Playing a mix of standards, with some arrangements by the players he admires, Murray is backed by Leeds based guitarist Louis Cryer, Bob Walker on bass guitar and Rowan Oliver on drums.
